DESCRIPTION
SBBR-DS110 is integrated
satellite receiver (demodulator) and IP unicast/multicast
router, supporting QPSK, 8PSK and 16QAM modulations.
Two framing modes are available:
- MPE - MPEG encapsulated transport stream
- FR/HDLC - Frame-Relay encapsulated pseudo-MPEG
transport stream
SBBR-DS110 is designed
to be capable of receiving and filtering unicast and
multicast IP traffic from satellite. After further
processing in the router (bit-stuffing, de-framing,
filtering etc.), only data packets for the customer
are output on one or more Fast Ethernet or Gigabit
Ethernet LAN interfaces.
Before the SBBR-DS110
was developed, only powerful Cisco router (e.g. Cisco
7206 as minimum) with HSSI or G703 interface could
be used to receive and filter data from external satellite
demodulator.
The SBBR-DS110 with
integrated Demodulator allows for ten-fold decrease
of costs compared to the standart solution based on
Cisco router and stand-alone satellite receiver.
SBBR-DS110 is suitable for multi-site reception
of Internet data as well.
